SPIRITUAL MATTERS: STRUGGLING WITH SIN

Sin may be defined as an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law. It may also be an action that is or that is felt to be highly reprehensible. Scripture says that God created human kind, originally good and without a sin nature. It is believed that humanity inherited a “sinful nature” when Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. I have discovered this principle of life,
that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart, but there’ another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh! What a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ Our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law but because of my sinful nature, I am slave to sin.
The Presence of Jesus Christ in the life of a human being as his/her Lord and Personal Saviour builds a fence around such a being to be able to flee from sin and makes Mercy, readily available to such an individual even after he/she commits sin.

“So now there’s no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to Him, the Power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death” So live and enjoy life in Christ Jesus.
