FLEE FROM SIN - RESIST THE DEVIL & HE WILL FLEE; EMBRACE TRUTH & WALK IN THE LIGHT (RIGHTEOUSNESS)!!!

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:7-9 NIV

Even whilst fleeing from sin & resisting the devil so that he will flee from us, we who believe ought to embrace truth & righteousness! We must not get tired of doing good; as often for the good that we do, we are often/mostly faced with persecution & all manners of ill in return! Yorubas say: "Bi ile ba ngbe osika, ti iku npa olododo, b'o pe titi, ore a ma su'ni'se!" Meaning: if the world/life supports the wicked & the righteous are dying off, after a while, people will become weary of doing good!" The Word of God is encouraging us not to be weary of doing good; rather we must look forward to the harvest, the result of never giving up, because doing good is never forgotten by God, but always Rewarded!!!

And Jesus said, "I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more."
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." John 8:11,12 NASB

Whilst Jesus is very loving, kind & forgiving, He Admonishes us to sin no more; especially after receiving forgiveness! However, what do we do? We keeping sinning & coming back to say sorry & the cycle goes on & on & on! Hmmm! Lord God Almighty in Jesus' Name, please Help us to stay on the path of truth & righteousness & depart from evil/sin. Amen! Give us Your Light o Lord; even as we know that Jesus Christ is the Light of the world & when we follow & walk with Him, we shall not walk in darkness nor alone!!!

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. Ephesians 5:8,9 KJV

Though we were in darkness, in receiving & coming to the Lord Jesus Christ, we come into Light! So, we must walk as children of Light! If we claim to have the Holy Spirit, we must manifest the fruits of the Spirit - in all goodness, righteousness & truth! Lord, please Grant that I bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' Name! Let the world see Your Hand in my family & my life o Lord in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!

And there were shepherds living out in the fields near by, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.' Luke 2:8-10 (NIVUK)

Good News often comes with terror/fear! When God Manifests & His Hand is revealed, one may be gripped with fear; but this is not a terrible or wrong thing at all. He who walked upon the waters & calmed the raging sea waves is Able to calm us down in such situations and at such times! The Good News brings/introduces great joy into the lives that receive the Good News. Lord, Help me to receive the Good News in my family & my life & that the Rewards of so doing do not elude me in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!

(26) For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, (27) but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. (28) Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. (29) Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:26-29

Basically, unto whom much is given, much is desired! If after we have received the knowledge of the truth in Christ Jesus, we continue willfully to sin, we shall be judged! If those who rejected the laws of Moses die mercilessly on the testimony of two/three witnesses, how much worse will it be for those who receive Jesus Christ & continue in sin?!!
