SEMI-NUDITY SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED IN GOSPEL INDUSTRY - DEJI IRAWO

Mr Deji Irawo, Channel Manager of X2D TV has spoken out against a recent trend of what appears to be ‘semi nudity’ in gospel music videos from artistes in Nigeria and across Africa.
In a message sent to stakeholders in the gospel music industry (artistes, producers, publicists, etc), made available to Praiseworld Radio, the X2D boss said:
“One of my responsibilities as Channel manager at X2D is quality control. We have however noticed the sudden increase in gospel music videos from all over Africa and the diaspora with “intentional” or “unintentional” show of cleavage by female artistes or models in gospel music videos.
We appeal to artistes, video directors, models, dance groups, labels, etc. Let us have the fear of God in all we do.”
Xclusive 2 Divinity, X2D, is one of Nigeria’s leading gospel media platforms, with a 24 hour channel via INFINITY TV and MYTV free-to-air satellite, as well as syndicate TV shows on tens of TV stations around the continent, reaching an estimated 40 million people across africa.
X2D also provides gospel entertainment programming to various TV stations across Nigeria and worldwide.
