SIN IS LAWLESSNESS; WHEN YOU ABIDE IN JESUS CHRIST, YOU HAVE POWER TO SIN NOT! RESIST SATAN AND HE WILL FLEE!!! BY PROPHET FOLAYAN OSEKITA

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Romans 6:1,2 NASB

We cannot be praying/asking for God's Covering Grace, continuing in sin; having died unto sin, we cannot continue to live in sin! When in Jesus Christ truly, we are empowered by His Grace to resist the tempter (devil) to sin and he would flee! Do we use this power? I'd say, mostly not! Please God, Help us to resist satan in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Romans 6:11,12 NIV

Sin desires evil, but we have the choice (power) to resist and say no. No one else can do this for us. We have to hate sin; and when we hate anything, we want nothing to do with it. However, sin presents itself as sweet; therefore, making us not want (unable) to hate it! Help us o Lord; that our hearts be not given unto sin, but rather unto righteousness in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1 John 3:4-6 KJ

Sin is transgression of the law; so when we sin, we're proving contempt for God's Laws and cannot claim to love the Lord. For the evidence of love for God is in obeying His Commandments and Laws! We must strive to abide in Jesus Christ, so we sin not, proving our love for Him and that we've seen/know Him!!!

The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:22-23 (NIVUK)

There is a lamp for our bodies (our eyes); and these form the light within us. We need to keep them healthy, lest they become darkened. Great will be that darkness if the light becomes darkness. Be wise and seek the Wisdom of God to unravel this counsel from the Lord. The Word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light into our paths according to the Holy Word of God. To obey is better than sacrifice!!!

(27) So the boys grew. And Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field; but Jacob was a mild man, dwelling in tents. (28) And Isaac loved Esau because he ate of his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob. (29) Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary. Genesis 25:27-29

Isaac loved his sons and they both had gifts. The older brother, Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the fields; Jacob was a mild man, dwelling in tents. They both had expertise in their respective works. Isaac loved Esau because he enjoyed the delicacies (game) from his hunting; however, Rebekah loved Jacob (probably because he was a master of the tents where the woman enjoyed his skills)!

It's interesting that Esau would return from the fields and be so very hungry despite the opportunities to eat in the fields! Of course, Jacob was a master chef (part of his expertise); it would appear to me that Esau was never satisfied with his gifting (my words) is why he would negotiate away his birthright for a bowl of cooked food! Remember God said: "Jacob I have loved; but Esau I have hated!" Godliness with contentment is great gain according to the Holy Bible! Alas, read the story and find out the results!!!
