Most people in life pray and want to be successful! To achieve what? Basically, to be rich, famous, achieve honour and life a good life. The Word of God Has Given us a formula that we mostly tend to ignore; choosing rather to go our own ways. No wonder there are loads of woes in people's lives. The earlier we turn back to God, learn and obey His Word, the better for us all. Father God, I pray in Jesus' Name that You Would Teach me the right way and Draw me back from the worldliness that my heart is so drawn to in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left. Then He will give you rain for the seed which you will sow in the ground, and bread from the yield of the ground, and it will be rich and plenteous; on that day your livestock will graze in a roomy pasture.
Isaiah 30:20-21,23 NASB
The Promise of God is not receivable without sacrificial obedience to His Written/Spoken Word! When you prove your love for/to God in obeying Him, you lay yourself in store for blessings in His Holy Name. That's the TRUTH! His Love is not unconditional (sorry to disappoint many)! Truth is truth! Stop believing lies and you are the ones suffering for your folly!!!
Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God. You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows. What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways. Job 22:26-28 NIV
If you will bother to go and study the Word of God and read the verses before the above, you will see further evidence that you need to activate the Blessings of God with obeying specific instructions Given in the Word of God! It is folly to believe otherwise; I'm only encouraging you to do right by God so He Will Do right by you; lest you wait in vain!!!
'This, then, is how you should pray: "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

The pattern (spirit to adopt) in prayer to God is Instructed in the above verses! Who cares today? You must acknowledge and give honour to God as it is His due! Hallow His Name. Note the significance of forgiving others! Hmmm! Many have said things like: even if God were to come down from Heaven, they would never forgive so and so! Wow! Self inflicted curses! Yet, these people think that they are wise! Please Help us o Lord; Save us from arrogance of heart/mind/spirit in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
(12) My people ask counsel from their wooden idols, And their staff informs them. For the spirit of harlotry has caused them to stray, And they have played the harlot against their God. Hosea 4:12
As long as we prefer gods made by human hands and fashioned accordingly, we live in breach of God's Laws/Word; and will reap due consequences accordingly! Flee from idolatory; for this is evil that displeases the Lord greatly. Why do we love harlotry instead of holiness in obedience to God's Word? Hmmm! Please forgive us o Lord; and Draw us unto Yourself in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
(4) " They do not direct their deeds Toward turning to their God, For the spirit of harlotry is in their midst, And they do not know the LORD. Hosea 5:4
Instead of putting God first in all things, we choose to put other things first mostly and we pay heavy prices for this; yet, we continue to do the same things over and over again! We thereby draw further and further away from the true God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel); to our own peril! To your tents o Israel! Father, forgive us for we know not what we do! Help us to be reconnected back to You and to basics in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
