DA’DRA CRAWFORD GREATHOUSE DEBUTS ARMS WIDE OPEN

Da’dra Crawford Greathouse answers the “so what have you been up to” question with the release ofArms Wide Open, the new single from her long awaited solo CD. As a founding member of the groupAnointed, she helped to define the dimensions for urban contemporary gospel music. Da’dra and her brother Steve make up the worship team at Pastor Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston and can be seen each week leading worship alongside Israel Houghton and Cindy Cruse-Ratcliff.

Greathouse spent some time sharing the news about the single and the CD during the National Religious Broadcaster’s gathering in February. Inspired by the teachings of Pastor Joel, she began to write lyrics for Arms Wide Open and called upon childhood friend and super producer Aaron Lindsey to assist in its production. After premiering the song with the congregation at Lakewood, she was inundated with requests as to when the song would be available. ”I am at a place where God is prodding me to record my very first solo CD,” says Greathouse. “I am currently in the process of writing songs for the new project and I am very excited!” Arms Wide Open is available now at iTunes.
