I am not writing this to shame you, but to warn you, as my dear children. Even though you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. Therefore I urge you to imitate me.
1 Corinthians 4:14-16 NIV
How many of our "fathers" today can make this kind of statement? How many of our "leaders" can? How many can pray to God sincerely for their children (own children) to emulate them? Knowing the work in your hands (especially the things you do in secret - open only to God), can you make such a statement? Hmmm! The Lord alone Knows those who are following and truly serving Him! Help us o Lord to be true to You in all that we think, speak and do; in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children;
Ephesians 5:1 NASB
How do we imitate God? Well, Jesus Christ Came as God in the flesh; so we have an excellent role model; as well as those that have been true to Him, who left Word in His Name (in the Holy Scriptures). Doing the Will of God in obedience to the Word of God is living for Him and is the only way to imitate Him! May God Help us so to do in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:11,12 KJV
God is a Rewarder of all who diligently serve Him! So therefore, be diligent in your approach to every and anything "God"! As long as you have full assurance of Jesus Christ, our hope and expectation of Glory, do not be lazy to follow Him and those who inherit His Promises through faith, patience and perseverance!!!
Thus, by their fruit you will recognise them. 'Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?" Then I will tell them plainly, "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" Matthew 7:20-23 (NIVUK)
Many talk the talk but fail to walk the walk; no point just merely talking and not walking the walk! The Kingdom of God is not merely about words, but about Power! Is there any power in your faith walk, or are you just talking the talk? What back up is there manifesting in your faith walk? Not all who call on the Name of the Lord will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Some will claim to have done this and that and more and yet be rejected firmly as "unknown" evildoers! Walk your talk in such a way that Jesus Christ Knows you. Only Jesus Can Do this! O Lord Jesus! Help me to not follow You in vain; but rather to Know You and the Power of Your Resurrection and be Known by You likewise in Jesus' Name I pray thankfully. Amen!!!
(12) "While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, (13) at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. (14) And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads." (15) So I said, "Who are You, Lord?" And He said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. (16) But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. (17) I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, (18) to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me." (19) "Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, Acts 26:12-19
This is a story of the spectacular "Call" of Saul (later renamed Paul by Jesus Christ)! Despite His Calling and obedience to the Call and to Jesus Christ, his Lord God and Saviour, many still refer to the Apostle Paul as arrogant; and rubbish his message and twist it to suit their purposes! The Apostle Peter, on the other hand, validated the ministry of Apostle Paul! Hmmmm! Be sure to be led by the Holy Spirit in your judgements especially of the Apostle Paul or any of those Inspired to deliver to us the Word of the Living God!!!
