The Lord's Discipline is in resisting the ways of the world and following the Ways of the Lord; and God also uses our earthly fathers to help discipline us. We should see discipline as evidence of true love and that our God and fathers (parents) delight in us; rather than be discouraged and angry because we don't like the discipline. Indeed, no discipline is pleasant at the time it's meted out, but if received, it later yields a harvest of righteousness!!!
But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world. 1 Corinthians 11:32 NASB
Instead of chorusing "don't judge me" all the time when judged by the Word of God or a servant of God or indeed a parent or anybody (for God Can Use anybody to judge you)! We hear it all the time! "Don't judge me" is such a popular statement! Remember that being judged is very positive for a victorious godly life in accordance with the Word of God!!!
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? Hebrews 12:5-7 KJV
We who follow Jesus Christ cannot be exempt from discipline! Rather we shall have to face the refiner's furnace through afflictions and Godly Discipline! We must not be discrouaged nor offended; rather, we must see it as God's Love purifying us unto perfection in Jesus Christ our Lord God and Saviour. Amen!!!
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.Matthew 7:13-14 (NIVUK)
There is a way that seems right to a man and in the end it leads to death! We are encouraged to bear up with suffering for Jesus Christ and in His Name; for there is no other way to gain access into the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is not just a rosebed; there are thorns involved wherever roses are concerned. Don't be deceived; God is not mocked - a man will reap whatever he has sown! Don't be deceived by the wealth and other goodies the world offers at the expense of your salvation. What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul? Hmmm! Be wise!!!
(11) God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God. (12) Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work. Psalm 62:11-12
All Power belongs to Jesus Christ; for He is the exact representation of God's Being is what the Bible says! Yet, many are still quarreling with the fact that Jesus Christ is the Lord God Almighty! Nobody else has that role but Him. When you have seen Me, you have seen the Father! He Said so Himself! He is a Merciful God; a Mighty God! Heaven and earth bow before Him; all powers, principalities etc. bow before Him! He is a Mighty God!!!
