You cannot be one leg in and one leg out with Jesus Christ; you are either in with Him or out! He is the Vine and we who believe are the branches; no branch can bear fruit of their own accord. The branch that remains in Jesus Christ shall bear much fruit; otherwise, it will bear no fruit and shall be cut off! Hmmm! If you are not sincerely in Jesus Christ, you shall not stand; with Jesus Christ, hypocrisy cannot pay you!!!
Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. Zechariah 6:12,13 KJV
We can see here that the VINE spoken of above is Jesus Christ; and He is also named The BRANCH! He is God the Vine and also The Branch because He Came to humankind in the flesh to be the firstborn amongst many brothers; therefore the Vine is the Branch and Head (First) of many branches (brothers)! Hmmm! Is not God's Wisdom supreme?!!
THEN a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. Isaiah 11:1,2 NASB
The "shoot" from the stem of Jesse is telling us that Jesus Christ (The Branch) will come as a "shoot" (child) from the lineage of Jesse. He is already called (again) The Branch that would bear fruit and is from the roots of Jesse; and will carry the fulness of the Godhead upon Him! Jesus Christ is the Lord God Almighty!!!
In that day the branch of the LORD shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be the pride and glory of the survivors of Israel. Isaiah 4:2 RSV
The sweetest of all Names shall be the most beautiful of all as well; shall be glorious; and bear fruits that will last to reveal the glory of the Lord God Almighty upon the land of Israel - not just the physical Israel now, but all who believe in The Branch shall make up the Israel of God!!!
Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it. Matthew 10:37-39 (NIVUK)
You must love the Lord your God above all else; and must love none else more than the Lord Jesus Christ! When you are in Jesus Christ, you must suffer for Him (take up your cross) and follow Him in His Footsteps! Whatever you lose in His Name shall be restored for sure; so with Jesus Christ, you never lose, but rather gain even for eternity!!!
(8) So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, (9) and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Acts 15:8-9
In Blessing His children, God is not respecter of persons; but rather, Blessings are Given and Granted to all and sundry as He deems fit. This is His Way of acknowledging all who are His; as a deposit, guaranteeing their inheritance in Jesus Christ! Our God is very Just; and He Will Judge Justly. His Name is Higher than any other name; His Name is JESUS, His Name is the LORD!!!
