For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
1 John 5:4,5 NIV
You are only born of God (born again) if you have faith; i.e. believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Then you have overcome the world in the likeness of Jesus Christ Himself! To believe, you cannot rationalize; it's not a matter of something making sense to you at all - it's just exercising a choice that is yours! May God Reveal to you the depth of meaning of the statement: Jesus is the Son of God! Amen!!!
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 KJV
If you want to please God, you must have faith that He IS! You must come to Him for this reason; and trust that He rewards all who seek Him diligently! Nobody follows God faithfully in vain; you will be rewarded for your willing decision and choice to believe and follow Him obediently in Jesus' Name. Amen! Lord Help my family, myself and all who hope and trust in You to strive to please you always in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8,9 NASB
That you believe means that you have a full conviction that the object of your faith is real; and this this a gift from God! This is not simply a choice you have made through the work of your hands or a simple matter of your choice decision. This is through faith and by God's Grace; otherwise it would make no sense to the ordinary human mindset, as it is the case with many! I bless God for the Gift of my family's faith in Him and in the Lord Jesus Christ!!!
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 RSV
When you have been crucified with Jesus Christ; this is not something that you do not know about, as you will feel the impact in your daily living! You can no longer react nor respond in the old way of your life; you experience a transformation in your mindset to a Godly one that is obvious not just to you but to all your observers. The people around you will notice the change in you and tell you about it too! Hmmm! So, have you been crucified with Jesus Christ? If not, do you really believe? Do you Love Him? Check yourself; are you in the faith?!!
Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. 'Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. Matthew 11:20-22 (NIVUK)
Unbelief is not new; even to the Lord Jesus Christ directly! He preached in certain cities and it appeared to be of no effect; and He said so. He however assured those cities that there is Judgement to come certainly! He did not deny the fact; nor did He ignore the fact! Jesus Christ recognized the fact that the cities did not repent from hearing His Messages! When we hear preachers today, we hear them begging people to believe! No! Jesus NEVER begged anyone to believe; nor did He ever use any enticements nor cajoling for people to believe. Faith must be willing to be effective in the Name of the Lord!!!
(13) Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies—
I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting. (14) Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them. (15) When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.
(16) "Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, (17) Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:13-17
Offering sacrifices, holding religious gatherings, calling for holy meetings and fastings etc. are all an abomination to the Lord when those who gather live in sin and shed innocent blood! God shuts His ears to such. God however would listen, hear and answer the prayers of those willing to repent and who live a holy and righteous life. God is very close to the broken hearted and oppressed. He is very open to those who fear Him and tremble at His every word. God is Just!!!
