Many claim to take refuge in the Lord but are only deceiving themselves because they don't. Does God not know those who take refuge in Him? Can anyone mock God? Will not all reap whatever they sow? God is good; that is for sure. He is very reliable in times of trouble as an ever-present help!!!
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 9:9,10 KJV
The Lord is not there for any and everybody willy nilly; I keep saying this, but many refuse to take heed! God favours the oppressed and people in specific conditions like orphans, widows, the helpless etc.! God favours those who know His Name and put their trust in Him. He specifically and deliberately takes good care of them!!!
If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
Psalm 37:23,24 NIV
When God delights in a man's way, He upholds him. Even when he's about to fall, He holds him up and prevents him from falling. His Hand is firmly upon such a man. Likewise, He causes the enemies of such a man to come back and bow at his feet! Is it not better to be on the Lord's side? As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
(16) So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, (17) which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Colossians 2:16-17
Do not give in to people judging you in your faith based on the old order of things like following after eating or drinking certain foods or not; and or following after certain festivals etc.! Those are only a shadow of the things to come in the Name of Jesus Christ! Focus on the substance which is Jesus Christ our Lord God and Saviour and you shall not go wrong. Selah!!!
