Do you know that the same people who teach that Jesus became poor so that we can be rich financially are the same ones who teach that Jesus wasn't poor when He was on earth?
They'll tell you about the women who gave to His ministry, and how Judas was His treasurer, and how the woman with the expensive alabaster oil must be rich to have lavished such expensive perfume on Jesus, and how He rode on a donkey which can be likened to a porsche car today.etc
These is one of the classic double standard doctrines of the churches. When it favours us, we say He became poor and quote scriptures to support our claim.
At other times, we say He wasn't poor and also quote scriptures to support it.
So we are tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine, ever learning, never apprehending.
Jesus lived an austere lifestyle; He only got what He needed and needed what He got.
His true riches is His righteousness which He trade in for our poverty, which is the sin of all mankind.
Look, if people aren't going to be deceived, then we aren't in the last days, and Jesus isn't coming yet.
