AFFLICTION IS NOT SUCH A BAD THING FOR HUMAN BEINGS; BUT WHO IS READY TO LEARN THE RELEVANT LESSONS IN ORDER TO GAIN THE BLESSINGS?!! BY PROFFET FOLAYAN OSEKITA

Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I keep thy word. Thou art good and doest good; teach me thy statutes. It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn thy statutes.
I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
Let thy steadfast love be ready to comfort me according to thy promise to thy servant.
Psalm 119:67,68,71,75, 76 RSV

When afflicted, do you reflect and seek the Face of the Lord for Revelation as to what lessons God Wants for you to learn? I know this is difficult and may even sound ridiculous, but it's very true! Meditate on the above Scriptures again and see ... "that I might learn" Thy statutes! When God allows us to go through afflictions, it's for our own good! His Steadfast Love is always ready to comfort the humble and obedient!!!

And if they are bound in fetters, And are caught in the cords of affliction, Then He declares to them their work And their transgressions, that they have magnified themselves. He opens their ear to instruction, And commands that they return from evil. Job 36:8-10 NASB

God always Does right by us! Even when He allows us to be afflicted, if we humble ourselves and listen out for His Voice, He's Instructing us continuously and points us towards a way out of our distress. He Leads us away from evil; and the obedient escape like a bird from a snare - but the disobedient get caught and may go right down to the bottomless pit! Hmmm! Help me o Lord; to accept discipline humbly and to obey Your Word and be Saved in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!

See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in
the furnace of affliction. Isaiah 48:10 NIV

Further evidence that trials, tribulations, testings & affliction are to refine us; thereby making us better people, readier to serve God in all humility in spirit and in truth! May God Help us in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee, and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene. Matthew 2:22-23 (NIVUK)

Even after Joseph was re-instructed to return to Israel, he didn't stop listening out for God's Voice. He kept right on and God Guided him even from further dangers from the son of Herod who was still capable of endangering Jesus Christ. How many fathers protect their children today? Where are you fathers? What are you all doing? Wake up to your responsibilities o fathers; that the land may flourish in God's Favour and Blessings once again!!!

(52) Then He said to them, "Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old." Matthew 13:52

I wonder why people love to preach rubbish from their minds/brains! This is Instructive! God's Word never condemned (especially) the Old Testament! In fact the Word of God suggests that if you are well versed in both, you are so very Blessed; as in possessing both old and new treasures! The Word of God is a TREASURE (old or new) - the Word of God will always be the Word of God! Treasure the Word of God and be Blessed in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
