South Africa’s first black president and anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela, 95 has died. The Nobel Peace Prize Laureate had been receiving intense home-based medical care for a lung infection after three months in hospital. It’s being reported that he started to reject the antibodies, which ultimately claimed his life.
Nelson Mandela is one of the world's most revered figures. The news of the demise of Africa's Great Leader & Notable figure hit the entire world. Imprisoned in South Africa for 27 years, he rose from prisoner to president, leading his nation from 1994 to 1999.
It is believed that he suffered lung damage while working in a prison quarry; he also contracted tuberculosis in the 1980's while being held at windswept Robben Island. After retiring from public life in 2004, he has been rarely seen in public.
In honour of this great iconic figure, we decide to share the thoughts of One of Nigeria's leading gospel music crooner, Kenny K'ore alongside notable quotes from Nelson Mandela which will serve as inspiration for you.
Kore's ThoughtsThis isn't the time to be acting like Nelson Mandela is my “padi”, and be pasting messages like, “i'll miss you”, on social platforms.
Rather it is a time for me to reflect and meditate on what makes a life so relevant that it inevitably touches on greatness.
Ruth Mopati, once his secretary, said, "Mandela was able to relate to people with respect and therefore he was respected in return."

Madiba himself made statements inspired by his philosophy for life, “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”
He also said,“ a nation should not be judged by how it treats it's highest citizens, but it's lowest ones”.
If I am a christian and I live my life by the dictates of the scriptures and {GOD forbid} my life can't count for values as strong as Nelson's or even more, then something surely is wrong with my christianity.
NELSON MANDELA'S QUOTES

2. A good head & a good heart are always a formidable Combination
3. We can change the world to make it a better place , It is in your hands to make a difference
4. It always seems Impossible until It is done.
5. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
6. There is no passion to be found playing small in settling for a life than the one that you are capable of living.
7. The glory in living lies not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.
8. We must use time wisely and forever realize that the time is always ripe to do right.
