The event saw wonderful performances, including an electrifying performance by the host K-Sticks and his drum ensemble which included a mix of the Yoruba traditional bata ensemble and the western drum set. We also saw a duet performance on the drum by the duo of Tosin Paul and Adewale Adeyemi. K-sticks and friends also thrilled the audience with some soulful Jazz tunes with an African touch, with Wole Oni and Simone Keys on keyboards, Nathaniel Bassey on Trumpet, Samson Conga on Conga and Laide Sax on the soprano Saxophone with Kenny Kore doing ad libs. There was also performances by Kenny Kore and Mike Abdul making the audiences dance in praise. These performances gave way to Prayer for Dr. Kunle Pimiloye (k-sticks) with dedication and launching of His work “Insight into African Drums” by Pastor Sam Adeyemi, senior Pastor of Daystar Christian center. Pastor Sam later lunched the work with two cheques of an undisclosed amount of money on behalf of himself and family with other guest following suit. The program came to a close with Nathaniel Bassey’s performance of his song “Imela”. Anchor of the event was the funny Holy mallam. It was indeed a splendid timeout as the time ticked away unnoticed.
