I Was read through a website on today and i was a story i would like to share to you. Interesting in the fact that one young lady actually attended the Beyonce and Jay Z concert and came out spiritually disturbed by the imagery be portrayed as entertainment. It should be noted in full disclosure that I choose on purpose to not talk about Beyonce or Jay Z. There are reasons. None of which I will discuss here.
What I will share with you is a few of the words that a young lady took time to write about her experience attending August 03, 2014 Rose Bowl Stadium show.
The young lady begins by saying :
We should note that there has not been one review that has been as cognizant and observant of the shock value of this tour. The tour is over. Some say the marriage is over. I am not actually interested in either to be honest. I am interested in where our culture is going.
The young lady who wrote her review is wise beyond her years. How many people have been exposed to this show that are in infancy of their spirit journey? Why must entertainment be one that devalues your life as a servant, mother or woman? In particular, why must you use symbols, language and behavior that denigrates your talent? No one says that you must wear a paper sack, or not use engaging images.
Without question the greatest reason that we live for God is our unwavering belief in the resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is through His resurrection from the grave that we have hope and the promise of life eternal with him. In 1 Corinthians chapter 15, the apostle Paul explains that, because of these promises of a future resurrection and of living eternally in the kingdom, believers have not only the motivation but also eternal responsibilities for our lives here on earth.Simply put, our responsibility lies in working for the Lord, whether it is in “looking after orphans or widows in distress” (James 1:27), giving to the hungry, the naked, visiting those in prison (see Matthew 25:35-36), serving in our workplace (see: Colossians 3:22), or doing whatever we do (Colossians 3:23). And our motivation is that we have God’s own promise that our work “is not in vain” in the Lord “since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving”. This means that we need t be careful about what we proclaim on a main stage where everyone is looking.

The young lady begins by saying :
Anyway, after much prayer, consideration, and conversation with my parents and Pastor, I decided to go. Attending a Beyoncè concert won’t send you to hell, just like attending a Kirk Franklin concert won’t get you into heaven. “It’s harmless entertainment,” I said to myself. “How bad could it be?”
From the moment Jay-Z and Beyoncé hit the stage, something felt off in my spirit. I knew I didn’t belong there, and I felt heavy and out of place. Instead of cheering and singing along to the songs I once loved, I literally began taking notes. Let me be clear: this is not some “illuminati conspiracy” post created to discuss secret occult symbols used by secular artist. I won’t even go into the deep stuff. This is much more simple- which makes it even worse. This concert had a 42 song setlist, so I also won’t attempt to cover every detail. These were my personal notes on 12 of the most blatant things that stood out to me.
During the shows opening song ‘Bonnie and Clyde’, they come out with a HUGE cross in the back of them. “All I need in this life of sin, is me and my girlfriend.”Actually, all you need in this life of sin is Jesus and a repentant heart! Your girlfriend can’t save you on judgment day, and I can’t believe how long it took me to realize the subtle message they are spreading with this catchy song.
Beyoncé is now wearing a thong and provocatively dancing for the crowd. I understand that she is an “entertainer”, but where does a wife and mother of a little girl draw the line? I was even more appalled that her husband was okay with this. Bey has the talent, she doesn’t have come out naked to sell records.
She later observes:
Crosses. So many crosses. Burning crosses. Crosses surrounded by fire. Big red crosses. I literally saw so many that I lost count. And these crosses are constantly being displayed while the artists sing lyrics about pride, vanity, sex, getting drunk, cheating, and self glorification.
The words “Lucifer, dawn of the Morning”, randomly blares from the speakers. Jay-Z doesn’t even perform this song. I guess they just wanted to say Lucifer to the crowd to remind us who this was all about.

1 Peter 2:12Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
