The King of gospel music, Femi Opalemo, who has been off the music scene for about three years is ready to launch his new album titled, Double Tuale.
According to him, "the album is an effort of three years preparation and I can't quit music industry because its my primary constituency, I only went on recess. Music is part of my life and this new album will showcase the best in me, when officially launch in Lagos on the 1st of October at Etal hall, Oregun.
Asked whether he still believe in the quality of production of the present day gospel artistes, he said, '
Gospel artiste must be able to sing or record albums that will inspire people, be it Juju, Fuji or any brand of gospel music as we have in the genre today, you must preach the gospel through it'. On why gospel artistes are turning to inspirational singers, he opined that Most of them are lazy and they do it because of the love of money. Our people cannot research into good music, but let’s wait and see. We will separate the grain from the chaff. Opalemo is of the opinion that his forthcoming album is project and a must for homes. Eight tracker album with medley and the launching will have creme de la creme of the society in attendance including two States Governors.
