You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." Acts 1:8 NASB
In following Jesus Christ effectively, you need the Holy Spirit for "Power"; as you preach the Word of God, His Power manifests! That's the way it was right from the beginning, so it is now and so it shall forever be, world without end. Amen! We need "Power" o Lord; Give us "Power" o Lord to do Your Will in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 5:12-14 NIV
Some believers just do not grow, basically out of pure carelessness and a lack of zeal for the undiluted Word of God! They need milk, not solid food; they are still infants, unacquainted with teachings about righteousness! Whilst those that trained themselves through constant use of the Word of God, are able to distinguish good from evil! They can handle solid food! Father, Help me grow in the Word of God, so I am able to teach and not remain in infancy, in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19,20 KJV
We have the Command from the Lord to do the work of the ministry: to teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We ought to teach others to obey the Commandments of God (Jesus Christ)! In so doing, He Will be with us to the very end (always; not sometimes)! Amen! Are we doing this? Hmmm! Check yourself; you who claim to be in the Faith! Are you still in the Faith? May God Help us not to stray from His Ancient Paths in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
So the word of the LORD to them will be, "Order on order, order on order, Line on line, line on line, A little here, a little there," That they may go and stumble backward, be broken, snared and taken captive.
Isaiah 28:13 NASB
For the disobedient, the Word of the Lord will be perceived as orders upon orders all lined up to be obeyed; and a little here and a little there! Hence, they shall stumble backwards repeatedly, be broken, snared and taken captive. They shall remain perpetually in sin; as if there is no way out! To obey is better than sacrifice! Help us o Lord; for without Your Help, we are finished. Help us in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
Jesus replied, "I will also ask you one question. If you answer me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. John's baptism - where did it come from? Was it from heaven, or of human origin?" They discussed it among themselves and said, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask, 'Then why didn't you believe him?' But if we say, 'Of human origin' - we are afraid of the people, for they all hold that John was a prophet." So they answered Jesus, "We don't know." Then he said, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things." Matthew 21:24-27 (NIVUK)
Jesus Christ was wise in responding to challenges and queries regarding His Authority/Power Whilst they were trying to catch Him out, He ended up catching them out in their craftiness! Boxed up; they couldn't answer Him and He in turn refuse to give into their craftiness! Lord Teach us to be wise like You in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
(14) Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel. 1 Corinthians 9:14
This Scripture legitimises reaping from sowing the Word of the Living God! However, it does not authorise the schemings of mankind - of those who preach the Gospel purely for gain! God is not mocked; we shall all reap whatsoever we sow! Help true servants of God who minister to you; meet their needs and God Will Bless you in Jesus' Name. Half a word is enough for the wise! Lord, only You can "Touch" hearts to give to Bless Your servants! So let it be o Lord, in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
