See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice.
Each man will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land. Isaiah 32:1,2 NIVWhen in leadership such as a king, you ought to for the sake of God Almighty, reign with the fear of God at heart. You ought to be driven by the fear of God and reign in righteousness and with justice. Then the people you reign over will be encouraged to live in faith in your leadership and there will likely be peace and love amongst them. Then, each man will look out for his brother and be his brother's keeper; as a shelter and refuge from the wind and storm; and a comfort from every trouble and distress! O Lord, Give us a heart to understand and do Your bidding and follow Your Counsel and Word in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king's son. May he judge Your people with righteousness And Your afflicted with justice. Let the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness. May he vindicate the afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy And crush the oppressor. Psalm 72:1-4 NASB
Father, I pray that Your children everywhere will be encouraged to lead according to Your judgments and with your righteousness whether in leadership or not. For each is in leadership in one way or another in life. The important thing is to live by Your Word and according to Your Counsel. Then Your children will judge each other (Your people) with righteousness and justice (including the afflicted, oppressed, underprivileged, etc.). Then the children of the needy will be saved and the oppressor crushed. I pray in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
Listen to another parable: there was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall round it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit. 'The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third. Then he sent other servants to them, more than the first time, and the tenants treated them in the same way. Last of all, he sent his son to them. "They will respect my son," he said. 'But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, "This is the heir. Come, let's kill him and take his inheritance." So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. Matthew 21:33-39 (NIVUK)
The Bible says that the heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked; who can know it? In the above story, when the landowner was renting the vineyard to the farmers, they were alright with him then. However, when the time came for harvest, they had a problem with him; so much so that they dealt mercilessly with his servants. The landowner then sent his son, thinking that they would at least offer the same or similar respect to his son as they have for him; alas, they killed the son too! Does this not show their mindset towards the landowner? Suddenly, they would want to take over his land completely! That is the mindset of mankind for you! May God Save us from all evil and Help us to flee from all appearances of evil in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
(26) Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Genesis 1:26
God is the original Man. He made man in His image and according to His likeness. One of the critical purposes of man's creation is to have dominion over the earth and all that is in it! This tells us that we must look after the earth (environment)! Man, know your place! Lord, Help us to know our place and purpose in this earth and in our lives that You have Given to us and to do rightly and act justly towards fellow humans and our earth (environment) in Jesus' Name. Amen!!!
